June 5, 2014 - Red Hat Publishing is pleased to announce the online availability of the Milford Living Summer Issue / 375th City of Milford Anniversary Edition, which also serves as the "Official Guide" to Milford's 375th.  Printed copies will be available on newstands and in mailboxes next week! Plein Air Painting Sites Published

June 5, 2014 - The Milford Arts Council published today an updated list of historically significant sites at which local artists will be painting in "plein air" during the City's Celebration Week. A reception will be held on July 3rd when we will announce the winner of the "Mayor's Choice" award. [ more ]

Time Capsule Submissions Requested

April 30, 2014 - MILFORD - Citizens from Milford and surrounding towns are invited to contribute items for the 2014 TIME CAPSULE project.  In celebration of Milford's 375th Anniversary, the Time Capsule Project is being spearheaded by long-time Milfordite DeForest (Frosty) Smith, along with an enthusiastic team of fellow citizen volunteers. Milford to Have Tallest Flagpole in the State

April 8, 2014 -  Mayor Ben Blake today announced that the City of Milford and Devon Rotary have joined forces to replace the Memorial Flagpole on the green. Over the years, the 99.7 foot steel flagpole has lost its structural integrity due to a number of stress cracks as well as general wear and tear. The Devon Rotary Foundation eagerly took on the project to replace the existing steel flagpole with a new 110 foot fiberglass maintenance-free pole. The Devon Rotary has also pledged to supply the City with two new flags every year. [ more ]


Aldermen Approve City's Official Flower

April 8, 2014 MILFORD — It's only taken 375 years but Milford finally has its official flower. It seems only fitting now that it is spring the city adopted the official flower of Milford, which is the Echinacea purpureau 'Magnus,' also commonly known as the "Eastern Purple Coneflower." ...
